Casa Pernice is situated 650m above sea level, at the edge of the Gran Sasso National Park and has fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. It is positioned between the villages of Vestea and Montebello di Bertona in a tranquil, rural rustic setting. The hilltop village of Montebello di Bertona as well as the famous town of Penne are part of the incredible views.

Welcome to Casa Pernice

The fantastic beaches along the Adriatic coast are a 35 minutes drive away, north of Pescara you'll find golden sandy beaches while to the south the coastline becomes rocky with caves and alcoves to explore. The Gran Sasso National Park is a short drive from Casa Pernice, in the National Park there is an abundance of walking, hiking, equestrian and cycling activities. The lake of Penne is also only a short distance, this has a bird sanctuary that was set up by the WWF. Casa Pernice is close to two international airports. Pescara airport is 40 minutes from the villa while Rome can be reached in 2 hours.

Casa Pernice consists of two self contained apartments each having its own external entrance. Apartment 1 occupies the whole of the ground floor and is used exclusively as a holiday home for the owners. Apartment 2 occupies the whole of the first floor and has recently been refurbished. It consists of lounge with fireplace, one quality double sofa bed and open plan kitchendining area, one double bedroom, one bedroom with bunk beds, bathroom with shower and a lovely veranda where the views can be enjoyed over a glass of local Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine.

2 Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with bunk beds. Bathroom with shower, wc, bidet and washbasin. Open plan kitchen dinner with cooker, hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board. Lounge area with large open fireplace, quality double sofa bed, TV and DVD player. Selection of books, games and DVD's. Hairdryer. Veranda with patio and chair set. Mature garden with barbeque and sun loungers. Collection of books, including guides to the area. All gas and electricity is included. Towels and linen are included and are changed weekly. Apartment is cleaned before and after your stay.

Though a rural and private setting Casa Pernice is close to local restaurants and shops. The village of Vestea (2km) has wonderful restaurants while Montebello di Bertona (4km) has supermarkets, butchers and post office. The town of Penne is about a 20 minute drive where banks, larger supermarkets, tourist information and an array of other amenities can be found, including a large market on Saturday mornings.
